Product info
Cavalor Destress
Indication for use
Many sport horses perform below their ability because they are stressed and not able to focus on the competition. Stress, nervousness, panic, lack of concentration, are descriptions for a very complex problem. There is still no universal effective way of fully calming horses without using sedation (not allowed during competition!) while at the same time increasing their concentration to the maximum.
By obtaining more insight in the complexity of the problem, Cavalor has managed to develop 2 products, Cavalor Take It Easy & Cavalor Destress, both of which are working in a different ways and can therefore lead to highly satisfying results, either individually or if needed, in combination. After tests on both products during the last 2 years, it was clear that the majority of riders were very satisfied with the results when using 1 or a combination of both products. Both products can be used during a competition without any risk.
Composition and safety of the product
The most important component of Cavalor Take It Easy is a high dose of L-Tryptophan. L-tryptophan is an amino acid and occurs also naturally in f.a. hay in lower dosages. L-tryptophan can be absorbed quickly with the aid of a number of B vitamins, making administration possible shortly before the competition.
Cavalor Destress® is a well-balanced mixture of Ballota nigra, Papaver Rhoeas and Humulus. It has a calming effect, especially when anxiety and/or pain are the disturbing factor.

Cavalor Destress
Dosage and application of the products
Cavalor Take it Easy (right picture): Depending on the degree of stress, administer 30 to 90 ml Take It Easy in a period of 24h before the stress situation. Ideally, 30 ml should be supplied the night before, 30 ml in the morning and 30 ml 1 hour before the competition. Maximum dosage: 180 ml per day.
Cavalor Destress (left picture): 15 – 20 g Destress per day to start 2 days before the day on which the horse should be calm.
Maximum dosage: 40 gram per day.
Most horses react well to Take It Easy or Destress individually. If the horse has not calmed down sufficiently with the use of the individual products, it is advisable to combine both products. In our experience, almost all screened horses became calm with the use of this combination.
