How to Fit your Rug
Top Tips for Fitting your Rug
Belly surcingles should be adjusted to allow a hands width between straps and belly.
Keep in mind that the neck on the Rambo® Wug is a higher fit, therefore the neck and chest area will be a snugger fit.
The trigger clips on the patented ‘V’ Front Closure System should always be closed with the clasp facing inwards.
Your hand should fit comfortably between the neck and shoulder areas and the rug. If not, the blanket could cause discomfort and rubbing.
If the rug extends beyond the top of the tail, the rug may be too big. If the rug does not reach the top of the tail, the rug may be too small. However, examine the neck and shoulder area for fit before making a decision to go for a different size.
Make sure that the tail is lifted over the fillet strap and that the strap is securely attached on both sides. This will prevent the rug from blowing forward. Where possible pull the tail through the strapping on the inside of the tail flap.
Horseware® use standard 2 and 3 cross surcingles on all our rugs except for our coolers and the following products that use 3 straight surcingles - Rambo® Optimo, Amigo® Bug Buster, Rambo® Fly Buster, Rambo® Sweetitch Hoody.
When closing the surcingles on a rug secure the middle one 1st and then cross over the 2 outer surcingles
