Flair strips are self-adhesive strips that promote optimum respiratory health of equine athletes at all levels by reducing airway resistance and providing improved airflow when your horse needs oxygen most.
Flair equine nasal strips reduce fatigue and improve respiratory health in horses.
Flair strips are self-adhesive strips that promote optimum respiratory health of equine athletes at all levels by reducing airway resistance and providing improved airflow when your horse needs oxygen most. Flair stips provide benefits for all horses including intensively trained horses as well as for horses that only exert themselves during occasional weekend competitions or trail rides.
During exercise when horses begin to breathe hard the soft tissues overlying the nasal passages are sucked in, reducing the airway diameter. This reduction in diameter causes greater resistance to airflow into the lungs. Flair strips gently support the soft tissues over the nasal passages providing reduced airway resistance during exercise.
By reducing airway resistance during exercise, Flair strips help prevent fatigue related injuries, help protect the lungs from injury and bleeding and promote optimal athletic performance.
Store FLAIR Strips at room temperature. Strips that are exposed to extreme cold or hot temperatures may experience adhesive damage.
For best results apply FLAIR Strip 30 minutes prior to riding, exercise, or any other activity that might cause the horse to sweat.
Apply Strips to a clean, dry nose. Use a clean, dry cloth or paper towel to remove dirt and oil prior to application. DO NOT use alcohol, water or gels on the area of application. DO NOT shave the horse’s nose prior to application.
FLAIR Strips have a unique adhesive that is designed to flow into and adhere to the horse’s hair.
Before applying, bend the tabbed edges to form a crease which will help the tabs stick to the horse’s nose more securely.
Apply FLAIR Strips two finger widths above the horse’s nostril. This placement provides optimal support for the soft tissue of the nasal passage. DO NOT touch the adhesive prior to applying the strip. Touching the adhesive will reduce its ability to stick to your horse.
Additional adhesives may be harmful and are NOT recommended. FLAIR Strips have a unique and gentle adhesive that is developed for the health and safety of the horse. These simple techniques can optimize your experience with FLAIR Strips.
