De laag die benodigd is hoeft niet dikker te zijn dan 6 mm. Inpakken van de benen met papier, folie of een onderbandage is niet nodig, alleen wanneer men een erg langdurig effect wil. In dat geval is het verstandig om dezelfde behandeling na 24 uur te herhalen. Verwijderen door middel van het afspuiten van de benen met water.
