Horseware Rambo Optimo Stable Rug

The Rambo Optimo Stable Rug is a new fit to the Rambo range. Featuring split technology and an innovative front piece to prevent rubbing on the underside of the neck, this is adjustable for deeper necked horses and prevents any issues with rubbing on the front buckle while stabled. The pad on the wither lifts the rug from the mane preventing mane or wither rubs.

Features include:

  • 1000 Denier ripstop outer
  • Polyester lining to shine the coat
  • 200g fill
  • Detachable hood sold separately
  • Split technology

We advise to take one size smaller then regular

Split Technologie

As humans we wear one type of garment on the upper body and another for the lower body. This allows us to move freely. The horse’s body is somewhat the same. His front and back are constructed differently and move differently. The only way to resolve the majority of fitting problems is to have two different garments combined as one.

The position of the split

The Rambo Split originates at a crucial point of the horse’s anatomy, the 6th vertebrae at the base of the neck. This allows the front and back of the rug to move independently. The front of the rug is free to pivot, extend, turn and float with the shoulder while the back of the rug will sit firmly in position.
