Studies show that horses lose a lot of heat around the wither and neck. Thanks to the half hood of the WUG model, this warmth is retained. Furthermore, the extra coverage at the wither prevents rain from quickly penetrating the rug, keeping your horse well protected against rain, wind, and cold!

What makes Rhino turnout rugs unique is their multi-layer construction. The outer fabric is made of strong polypropylene, which is significantly stronger than the commonly used polyester. The second layer is waterproof and is always protected by the polypropylene exterior, so your rug remains waterproof even if damaged. Beneath that is a thermobonded filling, and the fourth layer is an anti-static and anti-bacterial lining.

The exterior is made of ultra-strong polypropylene fabric, which is twice as strong as the commonly used polyester fabric. This fabric is water-repellent, so droplets remain on the rug's surface and are not absorbed.

Vari-Layer increases the concentration of fibers in the filling on the horse's back and hips to limit heat loss.
